While the actual lead female character’s role for the new Deadpool movie by 20th Century Fox has yet to be unveiled, it hasn’t stopped the studio from starting their search.
According to a recent report from Deadline, there are six potential actresses up to star opposite Ryan Reynolds in the movie which is set to start production in March of this year.
According to the article from Deadline, those actresses in contention for the part include (pictured in the following order above) Morena Baccarin (“Gotham,” “Homeland,” “V”), Jessica De Gouw (“Arrow,” “Dracula”), Sarah Green (“Vikings,” Noble), Crystal Reed (“Teen Wolf,” Crush), Rebecca Rittenhouse (“Red Band Society), and Taylor Schilling (“Orange is the New Black,” “Mercy”). There’s no word on which character the actress chosen will play, but what do you think?
While Reynold’s starred as Deadpool in 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” the film wasn’t the most well-received and it’s even possible the film won’t even be acknowledged in the 2016 release..
Tim Miller is set to direct the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
Deadpool is currently scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.
