616 Interviews – Jean Grey

This week I talk to the X-Woman Jean Grey. I thought she was dead, but she’s not anymore apparently. We’re going to see if we can figure out whether she ever died at all.

Marvel 616 Politics: Welcome, Ms Grey. I’m so glad you could join us today.

Jean Grey: Thank you for having me.

M6P: So you were dead, then you weren’t, then you were again, then you weren’t, then one more time, and now here you are. Does that pretty much sum it up?

JG: Give or take a death, yes. It’s hard to keep track sometimes. And not to get too technical but I’m actually from before the first death.

M6P: So you’re a time traveler?

JG: Yes, you could say that.

M6P: Can I say that because you traveled in time or…

JG: Yes. I think Dr Hank McCoy stole a time machine thing from Doctor Doom.

M6P: Well, I’m sure that was something he wanted made public. So has anything interesting happened because of the time traveling?

JG: Well, when Scott Summers from our time was accidentally killed…

M6P: Let me guess: he got better.

JG: Eventually, but for the period before that Scott Summers from this time started to disappear.

M6P: That didn’t happen.

JG: Excuse me? I was there.

M6P: No, you weren’t. You probably fell asleep watching Back to the Future.

JG: I can share my mind with you and let you see!

M6P: I’m a married man, miss. That’s all the time we have for today. I’d like to thank Jean Grey for mixing up reality and movies for us, and I hope to see you next time on 616 Interviews.

Starting from the first moments he watched Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends as a little tyke, Kevin has grown into an actual adult male while somehow maintaining his passion for superheroes. Does he know how to the change the oil in his car? No! Can he explain the convoluted history of the X-Men comic book series? Listen, bud: no one can!
