If It Was A Movie… West Coast Avengers

I’m setting this film up as a spin-off from the Avengers franchise so several actors will stay the same. However, I think it may be time to recast a few, so they’re not all the same. This follows the basic team and story from volume one. If you’ve never read it, you should as it’s a lot of fun.

Hawkeye – Jeremy Renner

To start out we’re keeping this actor the same. I still don’t know if he’s perfect for the role, but he works for the most part. This role would really be the test for him since he’d be the leader of the group.

Tigra – Meagan Good

I’m going to admit, she’s the entire reason I’m doing this fan casting. I saw her on a talk show one evening and immediately thought she would be the perfect Tigra. The way she walked, her figure, and a few of her tight lipped grins just made it clear that they need to bring this character to the MCU just to have her play it.

War Machine – Michael Ealy

This is my first recast. I honestly was never impressed with either actor they had to play Rhodes prior. They weren’t bad actors, just not right for the role. I think Ealy needs this role as an apology from society for allowing Almost Human to be cancelled.

Wonderman – Matt LeBlanc

Maybe he’s getting a little too old, but Just For Men will take care of the gray and he’ll look perfect in the part of the Ionic Avenger.

Mockingbird – Adrianne Palicki

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. - "A Fractured House" - The world turns against S.H.I.E.L.D. when Hydra impersonates them to attack The United Nations, and an unexpected enemy leads the charge to bring about their downfall, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Kelsey McNeal) ADRIANNE PALICKI

She is one of the few things that works in Agents of SHIELD. Why change something that seems to work? From reading this series as a kid is what made Mockingbird one of my favorite female characters. Pull her from the grips of that show and put her onto the big screen.

Vision – Paul Bettany

I’m keeping him the same because beyond him voicing JARVIS, he really is a great call for that character. I will admit that his visuals in Age of Ultron need some work, but that’s not the actor’s fault.

Scarlet Witch – Elizabeth Olsen

She did perfectly fine in Age of Ultron and I’m interested to see her expand this role.

Wasp – Morena Baccarin

Seriously, Marvel needs to make this happen.

Dr Pym – Bryan Cranston

I’m not a fan of Michael Douglas in the role of Hank Pym. I’d have Hank Pym be around the age he probably is in the comic books. The role in this series for Pym was as the science guy for the group. He didn’t dress up, he just helped them out, and I think Cranston could bring some awesome depth to this role.

The Blank – Sharlto Copley

Anyone could play this character, but I think this could be a chance to bring this up-and-coming extremely skilled character actor into the MCU.

Graviton – Ian Hart

This is a tie-in from the Agents of SHIELD television show. This actor already played Hall, and there are continued hints up until the end of the series that he is coming back, so let’s keep him in the role.
