As we dive deeply into the meat and potatoes…potatoes? Or is it ‘potatos’? Eh, whatever. As we dive deeply into the festering womb of comic book movies, (that’s just gross)–yeah, wait till you hear the rest–we explore the gestation period of some of our future comic-book-movie-mashup progeny. I’m of course talking about Age of Apocalypse and Civil War. And can I just say: that Apocalypse guy has great lips. Do you think they named him Apoca”lips” on purpose? Anyway…he looks like a cross between the villain from the Mighty Morphin…morphing?…Power Rangers movie and Neo from the Matrix, with all those tubes attached to him. No, I’m wrong. It’s definitely “morphin,” right? Like “quick, I need some morphin! this movie is going to stink so bad!” I’m sorry. What were we even talking about? Oh right! The womb of comic book movies. Needless to say, we don’t really have to talk about much more of this amorphous cavern of amniotic honey pots. (I always picture it like when Winnie the Pooh got stuck in the hole in the honey tree.) That movie’s the best!
